This hotel in the mountains of Verdun France exceeded our expectations. The beautiful remote area, surrounded by stunning views, provided a truly peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were attentive and the service was excellent. The 4-poster bed in our room was a lovely touch and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace, taking in the spectacular view of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast, with its fresh-squeezed orange juice, was a perfect start to our day on the terrace with its excellent view.

Excellent hotel...sleeping in a castle is one-of-a-kind experience. The rooms are nicely decorated, the lobby is beautiful. Good location as well, on the way to Gorges du Verdon.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The location is just as classic as it can get - perched on top of a mountain, above an old Provence village, with a fantastic view of the surrounding Trigance. It feels secluded, yet it's only an hour's drive from the Gorges du Verdon. The attention to detail in this hotel is remarkable, from the beautiful decoration of the spacious rooms with views of the valley, to the fresh-squeezed orange juice at breakfast. The staff were friendly and the service was great. The value for money is excellent, with prices starting at 147E per night. a truly special experience.

Castle in great location with superb food

Tastefully restored castle. Rooms have character, but are also comfortable and have all the amenities you’d expect. I was worried that the bathroom may have too much character, but I’m happy to say it was modern and functional like in a standard hotel, which is what matters for that room. (After all there is no such thing as a traditional bathroom and toilet!). The room was spacious, with beautiful views over the valley and nearby mountains. Dinner in the chateau is a must. The food is very good and served in an atmospheric room, lit beautifully and looking castle-style, while being comfortable and pleasantly warm. In good weather dinner/breakfast are served on a terrace with sweeping views over the village and the valley. Not least, the staff are very friendly and helpful.

All aspects of this hotel were fantastic.

The best thing about this hotel is the pure luxury ,it is simply magnificent .Real charm and located in a beautiful mountain setting . just beeing there was enough . The staff were wonderful especially Mr. Thomas .

The location was fantastic. Plenty of free parking facility which is nice.

We missed greatly to have a pool and to not be able to make ourselves a cup of tea in the morning or evening. We did not like not to have Wifi in our bedroom and had to go in the main building to send email. We did not like people having breakfast on the terrace as our room was next to the tables therefore very noisy.

Very unusual location, bery close to Les Gorges du Verdon, especially considering the fact than no other decent hotels outside the Gorges. In addition, great restaurant, great staff, great view outside.

Huge, quiet room with a spacious bathroom. Gorgeous breakfast selection of REASONABLY PRICED things.

Loved super comfy bedrooms.

The breakfast was lovely with stunning views, all the food was appetising. Our room was reasonably spacious and unique with central heating, an individual safe and multi-channel television. Everything was perfect and the staff was welcoming.

Generous-sized room with a safe, television and a refrigerator, and astonishing view of the valley below and the nearby mountains from it. Large bed and perfect service.
